Smile 1971 Mercedes Benz Model270

Recently I came into poccession of a 1971 4 door sedan MB Model 270. Unfortunately there is no papers and no keys. I live way out in the country so, financially it makes more sense to take the ignition out and hit a locksmith.
I don't want to screw the ignition up by taking it out wrong, so I was hoping that maybe somebody could provide or guide me to where I can obtain the schematics for tackling this project. Thanks in advance for any and all info.

What model is 270? Is it the w108 model 6 cylinder type 280S or SE?

I don't know how it is in Canada, but once you can register the car in your name and prove that you're the owner you can then take the registration and go to a Mercedes Dealer and request a copy of the keys. You will give them the Vin number and they should be able to get you a copy of the keys that came with the car when new. In US it costs around $35 last time I checked and it takes some time but you don't have to rip the ignition and change locks.
