Did I pay too much for mb extended warranty?

Got our cpo 08 ml couple of weeks ago. Paid $3400 for 2yr/100k. Now at 23k miles... So with factory warranty, cpo warranty, and extended warranty I have little over 4yrs/100k remaining. I was hoping extended was at least 3 yrs but $3400 for 2 yrs sounds a little steep. What do you think?

The ext warranty price may be governed by your car being an ML-class, but I'm not certain of that assertion.
FWIW, last weekend I bought a CPO 08 E350 with 6800 miles. The CPO warranty took it to April 2013, and I added a 2yr/100K MB warranty for $1925. You might consider calling an F&I person at another MB dealer and see what their quote would be.
I cross-checked my price on Monday with another dealer and their price was exactly the same. I also had them examine other possibilities, such as a 3rd party aftermarket ext warranty, and the MB 2yr/100K warranty was by far the best deal...nothing else came close.
Good luck.

No deductible for mb elw. I called different dealer and I was quoted $4500 for the same warranty. I guess I didn't get ripped off enough. He said $3400 is including $500 markup. Originally warranty was $3950 but they brought I down to $3400.

Dealer cost is just south of 2k for the warranty you bought. Personally I would pass on the warranty an 08 MB unless it were an AMG . These cars are getting average to above average reliability in CR and most of want might go wrong isn't covered. Other than piece of mind there isn't alot of value IMO. The dealer shouldn't argue with the quality considering it's a CPO.

Sort of agree but I think it's worth it since we're gonna keep it for a long time. We traded our 06 ML out of warranty for cpo 08 ML and couldn't be happier. Previous ML just hit 50K miles and we had intermittent A/C problem that dealer couldn't diagnose. After spending $1100 for a repair they couldn't fix we decided to take our loss and move on. These cars aren't hondas or toyotas. Any repair even minor ones even for C-class isn't cheap. Hopefully current one is more reliable or I'm hoping whatever it will break will break within warranty period. It's just that what I paid for 2 yrs is a little steep(I wouldn't complain if it was for 3 extra yeaers), but that's alright since we got a good deal on our ML. Just my opinion

I may cancel MB ELW for Chrysler Service Contract once they resume contract for MB's.
