Has anyone ever used blue led license plate lights? Is that legal in California?

Blue LEDs look cool, I have them on my other car. But I'm not in Cal.

Only emergency vehicles can display a true "blue" light in the US. I have the hyper white LEDs and love em. They match my HIDs, fogs, and parking lamps.
