I have a 2003 SL500 with 34,000 miles. I want to get down to two cars, and if I do, I may drive this one 6000 miles a year. I've been looking at warranties. I was offered one today by Kirk Moore at Direct Buy Warranties. He says I can get 5 years or 130,000 miles (164,000 total), 0 deductible, take to Mercedes or any ASE certified mechanic, they pay the mechanic directly, covers all mechanic and electronic malfunctions (he is to email me the policy), for $2793. Kirk says they have been in business for 21 years, have high ratings (JD Power, etc). I got in touch with Direct Buy because of an advertisement on this cite. Does anyone have any experience with them? Can I beat the cost?

If this company is at all affiliated with Direct Buy home furnishings, run away.
