I just joined MBCA Western Reserve Section in Ohio last May even though I don't take delivery of my C32 until March. I have attended a few events and really enjoy the fellow owners in my area.

We have scheduled a (2)two-day driving school at Nelson Ledges for less than $200 in April. For US$45 membership you would have recovered the cost in one weekend alone. It helps also that the group treasurer is also General Manager of the dealership you recieve your car from.

I have done some writing for a car club magazine, NINES, in the past when I owned a 2000 Saab 9-5 Aero. I plan on continuing with MBCA.

Western Reserve Section:

STAR magazine alone is worth the price.

I joined just for the annual raffle. And my chapter isn't much fun, lots of grey hair & wine-cheese parties.

Kwik, same thing is happening in my local chapter. Most of the time it is just meet and greets; but to fit in your benz must be a 1970 model year at the latest and you must be a minimum of 60 years old... well not really, but you get the point. I love classic Mercedes, but when that's all that is there it gets old (No pun intended). I would atleast like to have some driving events, or see some tuner cars like a Lorinser CL600 or something along those lines! I live in South Florida, I beleive it has the largest amount of MB's per capita, well region besides California, so I am rather disapointed with the club. Although I do agree, it was worth it just for the Star Magazine.

I haven't been an event in about 1 year so it may have changed.

Young, I am going to move this thread to the General Mercedes Discussion forum.

Thanks.
