i have 2 friends own a w203 and the new e-class.
they asked me what exhaust is the popular ones and how does it sound?

Popular exhausts seem to be all of them. What are your friends looking for? Performance, aggressive, style?

Your friends should get on the forum and search around for pics and opinions. Some of the systems are just Remus with tips welded on.
The Eisenmann Race performance seems to be the most aggressive, Brabus, Kleemann, and renntech all scream style.
