I just posed this, but put it in the wrong catagory. OOPS. Anyway, I found a VERY good priced 2008 SLK 280 and an independant dealer nearby. It has 38k miles on it and they advertised it at $24,700. I visited and text drove the car twice and when I came back on day 3, my salesman had been fired. They assigned me a new guy and then I was informed my salesman was fired due to pricing cars wrong in the internet (my car was one of them). They agreed to honor the price, BUT insisted it was a mistake. I'm going in today to make an offer on the car (Paid a dealership to check it over, and it's got some back maintenance that needs done, but checked out ok otherwise) My concern is that they are BSing me about the pricing, to try and convice me to make a full price offer. I'm a blonde single female, they saw me coming a mile away!
The car was purchased at Manheim, PA auction. Can someone with dealer access please help me out and find out how much they paid for it? The VIN is
WDBWK54F58F182754 and it was puchased on 9/13/10 with 38,207 miles. This would really help when I go in today for negotiations. I want to make a fair offer for them to profit and me not to be a "used car buyer, pull the wool over my eyes, and regret it for life statistic"
Thanks in advance for any help!
