Fuel type for a 1991 Mercedes 300SE?
Hi, we have a 1991 Mercedes 300 SE that is in mint condition, bought brand new, and has less than 100,000 miles on it. For it's whole life, or as far as I know, we have been filling it up with regular unleaded fuel. I never realized that some cars require the more expensive premium fuel. Now I just googled it and I'm pretty sure my car actually does require premium fuel over the regular unleaded. Now for the questions:
Can you confirm if this is true?
If so, have I been damaging my car for all of these years running regular fuel?
What can I expect when I fill her up with premium?
Does the better mpg resulting from the better fuel offset the price difference?
Theres already about half a tank of regular fuel in it; should I just fill the rest up with premium resulting in two gases being in the tank at once?Will that matter?
