To give a heads up to all of you, during my assist registration of my latest Benz (11' GL 450), I was turned on to cell phone apps that were very useful. I have been a MB owner since 07' (CLK 550) and this is the only time I was informed about it. There are 2 companies that are subcontracted by Mercedes to handle the SOS, wrench and i, buttons. Mbrace and Iroute. Consequently, my 10' E550 is w/ Iroute and the GL450 is w/ Mbrace. Once you download the respecive apps to you cell, you can unlock the car and do other helpful functions right from your cell!

The names I listed above, Mbrace and Iroute. They can open your car if locked out, locate it in a large parking lot, etc. I don;t know about the ipod, I am using it for the iphone4
