Instead of 10 yrs./100,000 miles warranty, - MB should double free service.

Instead of 10 yrs./100,000 miles warranty, - MB should double free service.

Doubling/increasing of free service would signal that MB stands more behind their cars than any other manufacturer. I believe that it would not only benefit MB, but also current & future owners of MB cars.

Better maintenance means a better car with a longer life; happier customers will buy more MBs.

What do you think?

100,000 miles/10 years
or
80,000 miles/8 years
or
60,000 miles/6 years

Hey, the more, the better!

Doesn't Kia have some kind of 10-year warranty something or other? I never paid the ads much mind but 10 years anything sounds like a lot.

IT's Hyundai and the warranty is just 10/100 on powertrain, the "real" warranty is 5/60K, very close to what MB offers.

Free service isn't free. It is built into the price of the car. The more "free" service you get, the highter the price of the car will be.

The same is true of the warranty. The manufacturer has of account for projected expenses for warranty repairs. These projected future expenses nedd to be covered by the current selling price of the warranted product.

Hyundai cars are selling at 1/3 of the price of a MB automobile and offering a warranty that far ourshines the warranty offered by MB.

Hyundai must manufacture a near flawless car, following the logic inherent in the statement above, that future repair cost of the car under warranty are built into the selling price.

My next car will be a H(e)y.....!

That would give MB more incentive to build a near flawless car. Or at least a car without so many electrical, exhaust and transmission problems.

so the price should have gone down on '05's after the free service was eliminated right?

Bitter is too nice a word to describe my feelings about the replacement of a radiator, transmission, trans control unit, catalytic converter, exhaust piping, torque converter and a number of electrical issues etc.

is how I feel.

My car is just sooooooooo beautiful I don't want to part with her. Now I know how men put up with some of the stuff women do. :p

Hahahha.... No worries.... u can always upgrade to an 05. I heard most of the problems were solved. Our 03's were the first year that this W209 came out so i am not surprised with all these issues~
