2007/2008 SL550 Maintenance
I'm looking to buy either a 2007 or 2008 SL550 here shortly. I was curious on what yearly maintenance would cost for this model. It'll be a second car for mostly weekend driving so I don't anticipate putting too much mileage over it. The dealership mentioned service 'A' and service 'B' but wasn't too particular about the details. The choices I have are all in the high 40k/low 50k mileage. I'd figure tires would cost around $1200-$1400. brake pads $600 for each set of tires. any help/info would be appreciated

The best thing is to find yourself a good indi shop if its out of warranty. You will save alot of money vs. going to a dealer. WHere are you located?

I've searched for a few in the area though no one is really willing to give me an estimate without looking at the car, which I understand. just wanted to get an idea on how much i should budget for routine maintenance on the car.

Forget A or B services. Just get an oil and filter change. When the brake light comes on replace them, when tires wear out replace them. Every year or two replace engine air filter and cabin filter.
