Drivers side mirror glass replacement

Hello all,

My drivers side mirror glass is extremely scratched/flaking and I'm looking to replace it. I called around to a couple of MB dealerships and local shops, replacement for just the glass and installation runs between $380 and $500.00.

I found an online glass shop wheelskin.com that claims to have a replacement part for 19.99.

Has anybody replaced just the mirror glass with using one of these online replacements? Or is there something specific that I should be concerned with and taking it into MB?

I have a 99 E55.

The reason this glass is ~$300 is because it's auto dimming. It's also heated.

You can take to the bank the fact the $20 so-called replacement is neither.
