Hello everyone,

I'm hoping someone out there can possibly help me out, I'd very much appreciate it.

I currently have a giant list of VINs (for vehicles dating back to 1981) which I need to sort into convertibles or non-convertibles. I have a general understanding of the Mercedes-Benz VIN system, and believe that the 5th character determines the body style.

So far I have concluded that "K" means convertible and it appears that "A" also sometimes means convertible.

Can someone kindly help clear my massive confusion or at least let me know if I'm on the right track? Any insight helps, thank you in advance!
