washing/waxing matte paint MB
took the matte platinum e350 in for service two weeks ago
the dealership was out of the "special" car shampoo that's used for matte paint cars ... so they did not wash the car for me after the service
i was told i could bring it in at a later time when they have the proper car wash shampoo and get it washed for free
as of last week, the dealership still did not have the right shampoo
so this makes me wonder... how necessary is the special shampoo?
is a normal car shampoo going to ruin the look of a matte paint finish?
never dealt with matte paint before

Search a Harley Davidison site on their matte paints that is termed "Denim".
Harley has had matte colors longer than any vehicle manufactorer.
Two keys are to not polish/ touch/ rub the paint. So new wash mitts and drying with a leaf blower are best.
Second, Windex, yes Windex, is the choice (mass produced choice) as a detail/ touch up spray. There are "special" demin sprays too.
I am unsure about which shampoo.....again the key being not to rub the paint.

what a pain in the ***
yeah
i was talking to a real cool service advisor and a porter(?) ... the guys who move the cars and do the washing and stuff
and i guess that porter was the only one working that day who had been TRAINED on how to wash the matte paint vehicles
anyway
time to call the dealership and check on that special car shampoo
