Use Roadside Assistance or pay for damage?
Last week, through non-use, my battery on my 09 E350 died...I called AAA, who showed up within 10 minutes, and boosted my car.
However, the radio/bluetooth interface was totally non functional...dealer told me to wait 24 hours, but nothing.
I brought it into my local dealer, who when I was picking up my fixed car, told me that if he (the service rep) had written down that AAA and not MB Roadside assistance had boosted the battery, they would have charged me $600 instead of nothing.
Any truth to this? It sounds ridiculous, since the couple of times I've called Roadside Assistance they've taken over 60 minutes to arrive vs under 20 for AAA!
Or was he just trying to insure a perfect "score" on the follow up survey?

The owner's manual gives specific instructions on jump starting a dead battery.
Next time tell them that you jump started it, and that you followed the directions.
Hope the dealer remembered to sync your windows and pano/sunroof.
