New Model Alert! C117/CLC Four-Door Coupe: the Poor Man's CLS?
Check out this homepage article about the new model. What do you think? Will the CLC appeal to a demographic looking for a fresh and energetic design? Does it appeal to you?

The existing CLC is one ugly looking car - looks like one of those Chinese copycat contraptions that looks hastily put together. The front and rear ends got the W204 treatment / upgrade, but the side panels look almost completely the same as the previous generation CLC (or should I say C-Class Sportcoupe). MB, imho, hit rock-bottom with the CLC and the only way it can go now is up.
At first glance, the heavily camo'd CLC 4 door coupe looks good. I hope they make as many changes to the side panels of this car so that the design flows more naturally. Maybe this will be a re-design from scratch like the A-Class concept which is an inspired work of engineering and art.
As a concept, I think it's a great way for MB to go. A smaller 4-door coupe that's really a sedan may help them hit some of the buyers in the BMW 1-series niche. The A and B class aren't really comparable alternatives to the 1-series, and neither is the current CLC (one is beautiful, one is butt-ugly. You guess which is which), but hopefully a new CLC will be it.
