Garage door opener
Posted this on E class site, but thought I would also post here.
The "Homelink" door opener on my mirror appears to have a problem. For a long time, the rubber button would not always come back out fully after depressing it. I would press it a little (not enough to activate again)and it would come out.
Since replacing it would probably involve all the apparatus connected to the mirror, wasn't sure I wanted to get involved in all that.
However, it now appears that it may be staying in and sending a signal to open the door after I have driven down the driveway.
Anybody know if there is a problem with these devices? Any bulletins out there? My car has a build date of Oct. 2009.
Personally the hard plastic buttons on Asian cars I had worked much better than these rubber ones.
Thanks.

Wouldn't that be covered under the New Car Factory Warranty?
Another option might be to stop using that button; move your code to another button. There are three buttons, right?
