MB extended warranty

MB extended warranty
I just purchased a 2010 C300 with 21,000 miles. It has the balance of the factory warranty (28 months) plus the additional 12 months because it's certified. Should I spend the extra $2250 to add MB extended warranty (2 extra years and up to 125,000 miles? This is my first MB and I tend to keep my cars between 8 and 10 years.

You did the right thing buy purchasing the extended ,but it really sucks that all dealers have different prices on these expended plans. They really try to feel you out and get the most they can.
Listen Mercedes is a great car. But cost of repairs can be insane with all the technology in todays cars. You better off with it then with out it. And it helps with resale too. You will never reach 135 k miles , your time will expire way before. My Cls I just picked up has 30 k on it and I bought an extended also with 3 more years and 135,000 miles. I will never come close to that but I need to be covered if a computer goes bad or transmission need work. I am not paying 8,000 to rebuild trans ..
Anyway you made a good choice. And when ever you bring the car you get a loaner . That nice ,so your never with out a.car. also always take car of your service advisior .he will remember you and it has payed off for me.

This is true, but you can buy the warranty from any dealer in the country. I am looking to do this for my R172. Does anyone have a recommendation for somene who sells it cheaply (in the US)?

The price varies a few hundred. So worth shopping around. You only have 30 days if its a CPO car from the time of purchase then it goes up 15 % .

I can get you quotes on a very good extended warranty if you email me your VIN# and mileage to brucem105@comcast.net. Sometimes it works out to be a much better value than what you can get from an MB dealer, sometimes not. But worth getting a quote...it's free and gives you additional data to help you make your decision.
