Drive X-country or ship the car?
I have a 98 C43 with about 53K miles. I'm planning to move from New York to California. Would it be more economical to transport my car or drive it there? I plan to sell the car within a year.
If I drive my car x-country, will the extra miles (approx 4000 miles) really hurt the resale value of my car? I also have to think about gas and lodging costs along the way. The drive could be fun though and I will see lots of the country.
If I ship my car, I have to think about the transport cost (about $1000), and plane ticket.
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks,
Baron

Your prob. better off shipping it...but I could imagine how much fun you'd have on the ride down...
If I am not mistaken, I think it's only $650 or so to ship from Cali to NY...check ebay auctions, they usually have good links to shipping companies.
