On the subject of salvaged cars, I had a chance, well still do to buy a 2007 e63 in great shape
Only front bumper changed, I'm sure I can get it in high 20's but can it really be worth it?

I'd consider a theft recovery, an accident can be very sketchy. Lots is not repaired properly and hidden in a vehicle that was totaled and repaired for resale. There's a reason it was totaled. Fixing it properly would cost more than it was worth. There are situations where using used parts and doing the labor yourself can turn out a descent car but you had better look very closely all over the car and know what to look for as far as accident damage and have it put on a rack and have the chassis measured to see if its now twisted or shaped like a diamond which you could never see with the naked eye.
