i have not dealt with them nor have any close friends that have but i have been warned that the salvage laws in texas are more lenient than other states.. so just watch out and try to inspect the car yourself and get as much past history on it as possible.

While it is scary to buy a car on eBay, I think the feedback system works better than buying from Bob's used cars down the street or from a classified ad. I also believe that cars are so complicated that most of us can't tell a thing from looking a car over or kicking the tires, or even a test drive. You can buy a Starmarked lemon from a dealership too. So, with the money you save from eBay, buy a top-notch warranty and pocket the rest.

Thanks for the input. I've been looking at a 2002 CL55 with 7-odd thousand miles on it, and it seems to be reasonably priced, especially relative to Southern California pricing. Yet the inabilty to eyeball the car makes me a bit uncomfortable. They have reasonably priced CL600's, as well.

I purchased a 2001 Porsche 996 TT from them in March of 2002. No complaints. I hired an independent inspection firm to look at the vehicle before I completed the transaction.
