Chassis Code List
Greetings all.
I am in the middle of a Mercedes research project for school and am having a difficult time locating a more complete list of Mercedes models and years by chassis code, and have finally have broken down to the point of asking for help.
I do recognize that chassis and engine codes did span models and years, and that is the root of the problem I have on hand.
I found this thread here: https://mbworld.org/forums/general-m...decoder-9.html which was immensely helpful in digging through all the data I have, however it showed how much more complete I needed to go. Namely missing the production years!
Doing some more digging, I found further sites that have the kind of list that I am looking for, although none of them are complete, missing the last 10+ years of chassis codes.
Best example of what I'm looking for: http://mercedessource.com/node/7580 which has from 1960 to 2002
Others are:

I found other references, such as MBSpares.com.au that has a FANTASTIC explanation of what the chassis codes mean (http://www.mbspares.com.au/Informati...isnumbers.aspx), but not an actual list of them, just examples. Everything else I am finding at the moment is if you own a Mercedes and want to look up your car's information. Might be helpful if I had a list of VINs or something, but I don't. Just reference material by chassis codes.
