Anyone here into classic Mercedes cars?

If you are then I want to share some pics with you guys. I love 6.3s as you can see. In June I went to the annual M-100 Lode Star Meet in Woxall Pa which is a gathering of M-100 powered Mercedes Benz cars like the Grand 600, 300sel 6.3 and, the 6.9.

see my site with some pics and videos from the meet. I drove my e430 there and was happily spanked by a Silver Bullet in the quarter mile. What a car!

I am and I'd love to get my hands on a 1964-67 300SE Conv. like you have pictured on your site. I just can't afford one right now but will try my best to get one in the future. Here is a pic. of the one I am referring to (w/out the luggage). Would you happen to have any better pics. of this car?

Are you refering to the silver one that was converted by AMG to 6.3 drive train. The one from the meet, the silver one belngs to Karl Middlehauve restorer of 600s. This car has a 6.3 engine, ZF five speed manual tranny, 6.3 drive train.

Here it is. I would like to buy it but I am afraid to ask hoe much. It will be in a 6 figure range

or here

One day I will get myself a 111/112 convertible. But for now I have to finish my 300se coupe which
also gets a 6.3 treatment.

Yes, that's the one. 6 figure range huh. Wow, that's a lot of dough. Thanks for the links, those are some beautiful machines...

That silver 300se convertible would be very expensive because it was converted by AMG and I think is the only 300se convertible with the 6.3 engine.

Regular 300se convertibles are up there in price with the 280se 3.5 convertibles which restored regularly fetch in the area of 70 big ones. From collectors point of view low grilled 280se 3.5 models seem to be more collectable and most expensive because of the 8 cyilnder engine and shorter front grill.
300ses however are very rare and have the same M189 engine used in 300sl gullwings but detuned to 180 or 190 hp. 300ses have also more chrome and air suspension as well as more wood all around then the 280se 3.5.

Smaller engined convertibles like the 220se or 250se and even 280se six cylinder go for lower. I've seen nice 220ses for around mid twenties. But it is a little too slow. Still it looks great though.

Very informative, thanks. BTW, just poking around on ebay I came across this: 280SE Conv. Check this baby out...
