Anyone here into classic Mercedes cars?
see my site with some pics and videos from the meet. I drove my e430 there and was happily spanked by a Silver Bullet in the quarter mile. What a car!

One day I will get myself a 111/112 convertible. But for now I have to finish my 300se coupe which
also gets a 6.3 treatment.
Regular 300se convertibles are up there in price with the 280se 3.5 convertibles which restored regularly fetch in the area of 70 big ones. From collectors point of view low grilled 280se 3.5 models seem to be more collectable and most expensive because of the 8 cyilnder engine and shorter front grill.
300ses however are very rare and have the same M189 engine used in 300sl gullwings but detuned to 180 or 190 hp. 300ses have also more chrome and air suspension as well as more wood all around then the 280se 3.5.
Smaller engined convertibles like the 220se or 250se and even 280se six cylinder go for lower. I've seen nice 220ses for around mid twenties. But it is a little too slow. Still it looks great though.
