Does anyone have access to the Vehicle Master Inquiry (VIM) system?
Is this for dealers only?
Does MB put a restriction on releasing the data?

I was looking to get the full record of a car before buying.
However, I have now bought, but would still like to get the print out if possible.
Worst case I will wait for my first service and ask the service advisor.
I would still not mind having it sooner.

The VMI is a complete maintenance history of a MB car while under warranty. It is supposed to help a car buyer know exactly what was done to a car during the warranty period--especially if all of the Recall and Campaign services were done. To deny a car owner access to this record seems tantamount to incompetence or even fraud.

I picked up a 2012 e550 in April and in June it started acting up. When I start the car with the keyless go after its been sitting for more than 24 hrs the car starts but nothing works, no ESP no abs no lights no air nothing and it won't go into gear either. The dealer has replaced the shifter, done a software update and also replaced the ESP. All on different service trips to try and correct the issue. After each replacement the car runs for a few days then goes back to the same issue. I called the dealer where I bought it out of state and the service guy said in their report it had never been in for anything more than normal service and CPO certification. The car 19500 miles when I got it now it has 25000 and going back to the shop tomorrow. How can I get the VMI report?

New owner here. Do I contact a dealer for the VMI or is there a general Mercedes USA address/phone number that I contact to get this report?

Scratch that. I should have searched first! Looks like I need to visit a dealership. I'd delete this but can't figure out how! Thanks!!
