oil leak from Engine or transmission
I have a C240, 2004 model. For several months I have noticed drops of oil around underneath the engine/transmisson area.
It has been getting worse.
Took it to a Mercedez shop today who told me the transmission oil pan gasket and Engine to Transmisson crankshaft seal is leaking. Cost to replace pan gasket and elctric cable plug on the side is $ 320 plus and the cost to replace the engine seal and transmisson seal ( he thinks we should do both) is $850.00
Is this reasonable? Please help. Thank you so much.
