2000 E430 engine shakes

2000 E430 engine shakes
I just had new engine mounts installed on 2000 E430. Took some of the shake out, but not all. Mechanic said #8 coil was borderline so I replaced it. I installed 16 new Bosch platinum OE (6702) spark plugs, purchased from Pep Boys.
When I told my mechanic I replaced my plugs, he said I should be okay as long as I did not put in those %#*^ plugs from Pep Boys. He said I should have put the $10 plugs in.
When I look at my tach, at idle the engine will sit around 500 and cycle up to around 550 and back down. Engine has 103k miles on it. I don't want to spend a lot of money trying to figure this out, but the subtle shaking is driving me crazy. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
