Parking brake sticking

Hi Guys

My parking brake does not release fully on my C180 but after driving around for a bit it is fine. How's that ?? Appreciate a bit of feedback.

Cheers !!!

Yeah, I have the same issue. When I release the brake I must then use my hand or foot to pull the brake up. I would like a resolution as well.

Thanks,

I had a problem like that about a year ago. It seemed like the parking brake had worn out. Then suddenly it came to a point where my parking brake would not even hold anymore, the only way the parking brake would work is if I was to hold the pedal, or else the pedal would come out and it wouldn't hold. This was a major problem for me since my car is manual so I went to the dealer and replaced the entire assembly. Expensive, but no problem since.

I always did wonder if there was an alternative to my solution

Cheers for the reply my friend, I have a mechanic looking at it now, if no joy I will take your advice and have it replaced.
