SL 500 blower motor troubleshooting
Hi,
I have a 2001 SL 500 and the blower motor has stopped working.
All fuses were checked and found to be OK.
I checked the voltage at the plug on top of the brake booster and have full voltage.
I have now removed the blower motor (a learning experience), checking the voltage at the blower terminals in the process. Again, line voltage of 12V regardless of what the fan speed is set at.
I have not, as yet, put an independant 12V feed directly to the blower but will do so shortly.
When I did get down to the blower I also noticed the rear retaining clip for the main metal bracket holding the motor down was snapped off. any suggestions for this??
