1991 MB 500 SL bought new by a movie star
Hi,
This is my first post.
I recently bought a 1991 500 SL, 98k miles, black with palomino interior. Upon reviewing the paperwork I noticed that the warranty shows this MB delivered to a very famous movie star/director/producer in 1991 with the address of his production company in LA.
I also traced back some articles of this person written in 1991 (car shows as being delivered in Nov 1990) such as "His left hand is on the wheel, guiding his sleek, black Mercedes nonchalantly around the twisting roads above Beverley Hills" and other similar articles.
I'm sure the owner I bought it from had no idea. Therefore, I'm curious to know if anyone has ever come across this situation and if so, how much if any does this increase the value of the MB?
