This particular vehicle install (Mercedes-Benz C300) uses two filters for the vehicle. Green Filter USA Part Number - 2247

The filters are engineered using the filter air box off the vehicle. This ensures that we design the filter with the exact profile it needs for an OE fit. Compared to the factory design these filters are thinner. Factory filters are very restrictive and require more surface area to flow better. Throughout testing we were able to exceed factory performance with less media without sacrificing filtration!



Install
Tools Needed
T25 Torx Bit

Begin by making sure the vehicle is in the “Off” position and in park. Open the hood.



1. Disconnect the fresh air inlet tube on each side of the plastic shroud by pulling it toward the front of the vehicle. Once you have taken one side off repeat on the other. It is best to do this step first to give yourself more room later on. (Img A)

2. Remove the engine shroud closest to the radiator by pulling straight up on it. (Img B)

3. Remove the inlet tube on the left side of the intake housing. (Img C)

4. The intake housing is also held in with grommets. Place your hands under the front of the shroud and pull up to release the front tabs.(Img D) Then simply pull straight up to release from the back grommets. (Img E)

5. Place the intake housing upside down on a flat surface. Once upside down you will notice on each side there are 4 - T25 Torx bits holding in each filter. (Img F) Remove all 8 – T25 Torx screws to be able to remove both filters (Img G)

6. Remove factory filters from each side and insert the New Green High Performance Air Filter replacement filters. Be sure to install the Green Filter the correct way. The narrow side will go down into the airbox with the induction tube the same as the factory filter. The filter gasket side will be pressed against the other housing, you will see the groove the filter sits in. This will create the air tight seal for your setup. (Img H)

7. Once the new filters have been installed on both sides reassemble the air box placing the base housing (filter installed) back onto the top housing. You will notice a grove that the seal of the filter will rest in. Once the filter has been positioned into that grove, tighten the 4 Torx bits on each side. (Img I)

8. With the filters installed it is time to start putting everything back on the vehicle. When installing the intake housing back onto the vehicle make sure to align the 4 clips on the grommets. (Img J) This will align the throttle body inlet up correctly (Img K)

9. With those items aligned simply press down. The aluminum heatsink will also help align the housing back onto the vehicle. (Img L)

10. Once the housing is fastened back into place reinstall the small breather tube that was disconnected earlier in step 3. Be sure to line up the arrows. (Img M)

11. Push each of the intake tubes back onto the inlets on the shroud (Img N & O)

12. Install the engine shroud. Insert the metal tab (Img P) into the installed housing. (Img Q) The front of the cover will be locked into place by pushing the plastic tabs into the rubber grommets. (Img R)

13. Once everything is aligned simply push down on the cover to lock into place. (Img S)

*** Make sure you have fastened everything securely. Shut the hood and be sure it is latched properly. ***
