Maui, Hawaii residents, where do you service your MB
I am currently working out an arrangement where I will be working on Maui for extended periods thoroughout the year. I need to determine which car to take to the islands. I could take my Vette, 540 or Denali since there are Chevrolet and BMW service / dealers. I really would like to take my CLK55 but there are no MB dealers on the island. I know of just one place called Miles service that does authorized work for MB. What options are available for service on Maui? Any evaluations on past experiences?

Take the Denali....it deserves to be corroded to oblivion : -) Maui is not a driver/car paradise. You may want to go there first and see what kind of car is best and buy appropriately.....it takes a while to get your car there, it is expensive to ship from the mainland, everything (especially gas/parts/mechanics) is expensive when available (buy Japanese for reliability), and the environment takes its toll on cars quickly.

The Denali will probably go, I'm not sure about the CLK55. You are absolutely right on the salt mist, it literally eats the car alive. I was born and raised in the islands and know the challenge. I'm having a difficult time acknowledging the challenges of the islands. If I don't take the '67 Vette or CLK55, I'm down to two options, let them sit in the garage or sell.
