Licence plate light fault
Hi,
how do you clear a licence plate lamp out message on a 2008 e class e320 estate, I have replaced the lamp and it is working but the message still appears and I can't manage to reset it.... Very annoying...... All help appreciated

The problem may not be the bulb but rather corrosion resulting in higher ohm reading thereby throwing off a fault. I just had to replace mine because of corrosion. It's an easy job and the lights are not expensive directly from Mercedes.

Thanks for your reply had a look at that but all seemed fine put it back together again and 2 days later the fault message just stopped. Don't really know why but it's gone now

1998 Mercedes e320
Just purchased a '98 e320 that is doing the same thing. My problem is that two of the three screws holding the cover are frozen solid. Have tried PB Blaster to no avail, but will keep trying before the last choice of drilling and extracting. MB dealer is 50 miles away, anyone happen to know what bulbs I need? (The one that is working looks a little foggy, so thought I might just replace both of them). Appreciate any help, thanks!
