Getting an OEM windshield covered under insurance
Has anyone had any luck getting an OEM windshield covered under their insurance.
My GL picked up a stone chip, but it is in from the driver so will probably need replacing instead of repair.
Aftermarket glass is about $500 and OEM is about $900.
I really want OEM, but an not crazy about spending $400 to get it.
I know with body repair parts you usually have the right to demand OEM, but seems glass they do "as a favor" sometimes.
Looking for the magic words to get the OEM glass.

Not sure if you have had yours replaced yet or not.
I had mine replaced with OEM glass and the insurance paid for everything. I just told them I wanted a OEM windshield. Once i t was installed I verified it was correct. I didnt have to argue with anyone in order to get the OEM glass thankfully.
