Is there a simple explanation for the tailgate on my wagon to occasionally unlock and raise when parked when no key is in the area. No problem when vehicle is mobile (so far).

 

the plastic on your key fob must be broken and is pressing on the micro switch that operates the boot, it happened to me, every time i was in the vicinity of the car, the boot would open, get an key on E bay and swap the circuit board over.

 

Interesting solution, but not the problem.

 

I wonder if there is anything or anyone else transmitting the same signal ??
