2007 cls550 instrument panel dark
Recently my instrument panel stopped working. I can't see how much gas I have how fast I'm going or the message window...nothing...The car the radio and navigation all function as normal. Any idea what this could be? I'm hoping that it's just a fuse but I actually had the same problem about three years ago and I took it to a shop and they told me it was some kind of control module that would cost $1800...three days later it started working again out of nowhere, and has been fine up until a couple weeks ago. I really don't want to get ripped off, but it seems that this problem is not very common has anyone else experienced it and if so what did you need to do to fix it?

I'm having the same problem. I was on a road trip when I noticed my instrument cluster when dark. I can't see how much gas or how fast I'm going. AC and heat stopped working as well. The car radio and navigation work fine, However the Rad fan start to run at high rate of speed. I mean none stop. Took it to the Mercedes dealership. They told me it may be a short in the cluster because each time they replace the instrument cluster fuse it blows again. Did you ever find out what caused your cluster to fail?
