W220 2005 S55 AMG Mirror Cover Removal
Hoping someone can help me with how to remove the door mirror covers on a 2005 S55 AMG - W220.
I have searched throughout the forum and youtube and found the following but no luck in finding the "clip" that is conveyed or is shown in pictures or in youtube videos.
Fail 1 - press clip with screwdriver on bottom right under the tilted up mirror and slide cover off: do not see this clip - no clip there.
Fail 2 - fold mirror and press clip in the exposed inner area: exposed area is covered in rubber, when pulling it back I do not see a clip anywhere.
Fail 3 - tilt mirror all the way toward window and press clip under the top right hand corner - no clip to be found there either.
