Xtended warranty - any good companies?

Xtended warranty - any good companies?
My clk55 has 6 mths left on the warranty. I purchased the car privately, so I don't have the luxury of buying a Starmark warranty. The vehicle has had pretty good reliability except for some glitches in the system that monitors malfunctions...example on two occasions it indicated that the bulbs had a problem,
the system indicated that it had 1 mal function and after driving
for 2 days, it went away. Because of this I just have to wonder
with some level of anxiety what is going to happen....when the
warranty runs out!! Thanks in advance for your reponse(s).

2001 CLK430 Cab.
I believe that anything as expensive to repair as a MB should have an insurance policy. I had Warranty Gold who went bankrupt. I now have Warrant Direct but haven't used them since (1 month). I can only hope they will pay for what they say when the time comes. You can get a quot online. Don S.
