A class problems

Hi

Just wondered if anyone can give me a clue about a problem I am having with my A160 2001

It is an auto and I might be dealing with a problem with the electrical side of how it works but I am also finding that the car will not rev properly and falters at around 2000 rpm. This happens whether the car is being driven or even when it is stationary in park.

I have checked the following, the plugs, the fuel filter, the throttle body but nothing appears to make any difference.

I believe that it is possible that a gearbox problem could cause a power loss but my gut feeling is that its an engine problem which is leading to gear changing judders and issues with power.

I have looked at the error codes although my machine is not a merc one, just a basic one. The only code I am getting is P0600

Any suggestions would be useful.
