Mmr1

The left front wheel was near black, the others were clean of brake dust. A few days ago Mercedes checked it out and replaced the Caliper. 3 days 70 miles later the left front is getting dark again. They checked the pads but didn't replace them. Is there anything besides the pads that could cause this.
