Need Advise 2015 CLA250 vs 2012 C350
1) You sound like you are concerned about gas mileage but yet you plan to upgrade to a C63- one of the biggest guzzlers around. So it would appear that gas mileage doesn't really matter to you.
2)You said the C350 "crawls". I assume you mean it is slow. But a c350 goes 0-60 in about 5.5 seconds and a CLA250 is 6.2 seconds 0-60. So if you want to get a slower car, get the CLA250.

By crawling I meant, when you stop behind another car on the highway (bumper to bumper) it takes more effort to get the car moving again since it is a heavier car with a bigger engine. In terms of that, it feels as if the car is crawling. I know C350 is a beast and a joy to drive when there is no traffic.
Let me know - i need all the advise I can get. I am being offered a 2015 CLA with all the packages included with warranty - for the exact same price as my 2012 C350 with all packages included as well.
Thanks in advance.

Definitely would buy again: 55 percent
With its sharp lines and Mephistopheles-grade marketing, the CLA had much promise for its buyers. This sleek sedan provided a new, attainable entry point into the luxury automaker’s product line, but as owners report, there were many compromises to get that tri-star grille ornament. Owners cite the stiff suspension, compact size, and general discomfort as recurring demerits that have them thinking twice about their purchase decision. A couple of owners summed it up well, essentially saying that the CLA doesn’t feel like a “real” Mercedes-Benz.
If you're worried about the fuel efficiency, the CLA does have the start/stop button you can turn on and off to save a bit of fuel. And also a sport mode, manual shifting (with paddle shifters), or eco.
It definitely is comfortable for long drives. Ive driven hours in it, switching between eco and sport. The sport mode revs higher and makes it feel faster, but its not, sadly haha. Same with the paddle shifters, it feels faster, and it accelerates much quicker, which i enjoy. I definitely feel the need for speed, and the 208hp isnt doing it for me.
You mentioned "crawls" and explained it as the acceleration from a stop if i understood that correctly.
So, because the CLA has the start/stop button, if it is turned on it will shut off in traffic (or at any stop) to save gas. And that does mean there will be a bit of a "crawl." If you turn the start/stop off, theres no crawl. And again, putting it in manual or sport mode does help with that a lot, just make sure the start/stop is turned off.
If you want to mod your car, CLA isnt the way to go unless you want to spend $1,000 for a tune or $600 for a good air intake. So if youre looking for speed, id go with the c350 considering it has 302hp stock. But if youre looking for efficiency and comfortable drives, then id go with the CLA.
If you have any questions feel free to ask (:
