2008 GL450
Question Dealer resetting codes to sell the car?

I just bought 2008 GL450 with 120k miles on it from the MB dealership. the dealer had me sign papers everywhere that this is AS IS with no warranty. two days later, P2006 and P0015 codes come up.

I read about these and already ordered the magnets to see if this fixes the problem. I am just hoping it is not something very serious.

My question is whether it is possible that dealer reset the codes just before selling the car to me and if there is any way to verify this? Getting two codes two days after buying the car is possible but seems suspicious.

I may be naïve but would think resetting the codes just to sell the car would be illegal.

you are in for some serious car trouble with the p0015. You need to seriously read up on this issue. It is the well known balance shaft issue and it ranges from $4000 to $9000 to fix.

Resetting the CEL is to sell a vehicle is dishonest and fraudulent.
