1993 300TE Wagon
Question Sporadic NSS failure question

Hello all, I have a 1993 300TE Wagon (base) that has a confusing, and annoying problem....
Sometimes (sporadically), it will only start if I put it in Neutral, but other times it will start in either Neutral, or in Park.
I thought this meant the Neutral Safety Switch was dying, but it seems to randomly fix itself, and work correctly.
My problem is that I need to get it inspected, and I just KNOW that when they realize that they have to put it in Neutral to start the car that it will be rejected.
Can anyone PLEASE advise me on this??
Thanks in advance!!

Update I guess, it seems that it is only when the car has been sitting for a while that it won't start in Park, but after driving some, and stopping it will recognize it is in Park and start correctly....
So, if it is the Neutral Safety Switch, which was my first thought, it is either not dead, or just in the process of dying right now!!

....Not that anyone was taking the time to respond anyway....
