w203 key problem - won't allow start
something unusual is happening with my w203. I know remote lock/unlock and ignition immobilizer are two unrelated system but this is what I have:
- i come to my car and try to unlock . I try both keys that I have. the red LED lights but car won't unlock.
- i use the metal key to get it. i put key in the ignition but steering won't unlock. the car does nothing. I try both keys, same result. I keep putting the key in and out about 20 to 30 times until suddenly it works.
- at this time the steering wheel unlock works consistently, remote is also back alive on both keys, everything as normal.
- i leave the car sit for a while, go back and i am having the same problem again.
any ideas?
