Impossible to Find Options
My dealer was telling me how more and more people custom order cars now. I remember back in the day when you could just walk into the dealership and find what you were looking for. Now you have to order a car just to get window shades.
A lot of car companies group options into bundles or packages, so at a certain price point you get it all. I understand MB is MB, and that people are more picky now, and there are more options, but it's gotten to the point where customers are turned away because it's impossible to find some options.I have noticed some typically rare options are Driving Assist, Surround View, Heads Up Display, Pano Roof and 3-Zone Climate.
I know MB will always be MB, but they advertise every car with literally every option, and then when you go to buy one, it's like trying to find a DeLorean. I can't help but assume this is a sales deterrent.
It seems like MB is aware of this, since they have quietly added a feature to the "build your own" part of their site that lets you view inventory at nearby dealerships, and then tells you what is similar and different between your build and available cars. I'm not sure how well it works, since it showed the same cars being at several different dealerships.

If anyone has any tips on finding cars with certain options, I'd be glad to hear it.
