Hi, all- not sure where to post this, but I just wanted to take a moment and let everyone know that Bob Brady passed away last week. As his sister put it on his Facebook page, "Today, my brother Bob Warren Robert Brady got to make the ultimate adventure, and hopefully party with the likes of my Mom & Dad, sister Nina, nephew Brian, and soooooo many more. Love you, Bobby!"
Bob was a staple at RENNtech for more than twenty years. I'm sure many of you spoke to him at one point or another, and he was instrumental in teaching and training so many of us who worked at RT and either stayed, moved on to other industries, or did their own thing. I'm sure those of you who knew him, also, were awed by his encyclopedic knowledge of Mercedes-Benz, the early days of AMG, and the tuning industry in general.
Beyond that, Bob had great stories- some from his days as a power lifter, some from his days riding the Magical Mystery Bus with guys like Ken Kesey and some of his run-ins with other giants. My favorite Bob Brady quote (other than the time he told me he would kick my teeth in if I continued to f*** with his office chair), had to do with him being an actual sea Captain *AND* an ordained minister in the state of Florida. He told me, "If I marry you, you stay married."
I never did figure out why BigBob wanted to marry me, but I do know this: he'll be missed.
Much love and RIP, brother Bob. See you soon ... just hopefully not too soon!

RIP Bob. You were a pleasure to deal with each time we contacted you.

First of all, our sincere condolences to Bobs family at the news of his passing! I had the pleasure of working side by side with Bob at Renntech for over 15 years. We were there together pretty much from the beginning. I learned a lot from him over the years from his vast knowledge of Mercedes Benz. I have to say Bobby always went out of his way to introduce me when a high profile customer would come in. I am grateful to have met some amazing people. Pro Football, baseball, hockey players, and musicians . I have to say the highlight of my career at Renntech, and pretty much my whole life was the day Bob came up to me and said Scotty I have someone I want you to meet. When I turned around, I almost fell out of my chair to see Steven Tyler of Aerosmith standing there with an outreached hand and a huge smile on his face. One of the nicest guys I've ever had the pleasure to meet thanks to Bobby. Bobby took good care of me as a friend and co worker and will be surely missed. RIP Bobby, sorry to see you go! Scott C.
