i have an 07 s550 the dealer said i need a power control module the battery in trunk wasnt charging they wanted $1800 to change but my friend has an 07 that he wrecked so my question is does this part has to be installed at a dealer or can i just swap them out because i tried his now the car has no power..

please help

Assuming the part is compatible with your car,you need factory or equal software to adapt the new battery control module to your car--all else--- open the trunk,hold hands and form a semicircle!!
