Mercedes recently decided not to go through the strict and time-consuming certification process for its all-wheel-drive 2.1-liter turbo-diesel C300d 4MATIC sedan. The German automaker has instead shifted attention towards certifying some of its other models, namely the popular GLS-Class diesel SUV.
