Key won't turn in ignition. Car sitting for months...
2005 CL. We put a good battery in (checked voltage) and still no go. We just bought the car and it had been sitting for almost a year and based on what I read its usually low voltage that causes the problem. With that crossed off the list, what's next? The other odd part is that the steering wheel is NOT locked and won't lock. When I press on the brake i don't hear anything clicking or moving for an interlock.
Brake switch maybe?

Oh, I asked mainly because when both my C280 and even my Jag have this problem the steering wheel is locked as well, which is easily fixed. Seems like your case is more unique. I wish you and your CL the best of luck getting this figured out.
