I have been having problems lately with my tilt steering on my 2006 R350. The tilt down would make noise and stop before it got to its set position. I would need to work the lever up and down till I reached the proper position and now it will not go up at all. It will only go down. Is there some sort of limit os misalignment in the column.

Happened to me and the dealer reset a fault code and all was well again.

Yeah give it few days and it might start working well. Has it gotten cold recently where do you live? During the winter, I turn my tilt off because that's when it seems to act up.

Not it hasn't gotten cold, alot of rain lately but we are in summer so its been warm. I did read someone say they had an issue after alot of rain which seems odd. Have you heard of that before? Someone said to tap down on the steering wheel while you have the lever engaged and sometimes that helps get it started again.
