Fitting a 55/55K engine in another Benz?
I've been thinking/wanting to get an older mercedes. Something under 5K as a project car. Something to tinker with. Originally I was thinking of getting an E36 BMW and do an LS swap, but I've been wondering what I could fit a 5.4L engine in.
There's a plethora or older Mercedes under 5K. How hard of a task would this be? I'm mostly concerned about the wiring/electronics and whether or not I'd need the trans from the AMG or not.
I haven't found much about putting these in something like this.
I was thinking about the W124 or a 240d or 300d. These seem to be the most available in my area.
